Hello everyone,
Fort Stanton Historic Site and Fort Stanton, Inc. are excited to host the annual Fort Stanton Live celebration with hands-on activities, historical presentations, musical performances, and infantry demonstrations.
What: Join us for Fort Stanton Live, where history comes to life. Visitors can enjoy lectures about the landscape and site history, a flag-raising ceremony, period infantry military drills, musical performances by New Mexican artists, and dance performances by Mescalero Apache Tribe dancers and Zuni dancers. Visitors will also be treated to pottery-making and blacksmithing demonstrations, spinning and weaving, a quilt show, and an all-day scavenger hunt for children.
